Compare and Contrast

These 2 pieces are both completely different. First off, the medium for the second piece is oil paint, while the first seems to be done with spray paint, or some kind of paint medium. In terms of style, the first piece does appear to be somewhat more abstract than the other, as well as having the visage of street art. As for subject matter, the second piece gives off an ominous, cold feeling. The other seems to convey a creation  of identity through one’s own hands, or through the hands of others. The 2nd piece also seems to single out the person in the middle, presenting a feeling of solitude.

As for similarities, both pieces present identity as a subject.
